April Charity of the month: Surfing for Autism
-
About Surfing for Autism
Surfing for Autism is a summer event local to the Outer Banks that pairs individuals with autism with surfers and therapists for a fun, therapeutic beach experience. The mission is to support families and raise awareness of autism through community connection and the healing power of surfing.

How you can support
Surfing for Autism is free for families to ease the high costs of autism care. With no paid staff, every donation directly creates a meaningful, life-changing experience—showing individuals with autism they are seen, supported, and loved. You can show your support by donating directly to their web page, or by “rounding up” your bill at Whalehead Brewery throughout the month of April.

4/6 - percent day at Whalehead Brewery!
On Sunday, April 6, we will be hosting an all-day event to benefit Surfing for Autism. Come out from 11:30-8pm to enjoy great food, live music by Ben Benson from 5-8pm, and to learn more about Surfing for Autism and how you can support! 10% of sales from the day will go directly to Surfing for Autism.
